The Royal Melbourne Show Goat competition provides benchmarking opportunity for Dairy and Boer goat breeders around Australia.  The Weekly Times Livestock Pavilion is host to both Dairy and Boer Goat Competitions.

The Competition is open to dairy goat breeds, representing a key product area of the goat industry– milk and dairy products.

Goat meat is the most widely consumed red meat in the world, and Australia is the largest exporter of goat meat.
